   I cannot recommend Slater and Gordon highly enough. . A huge thank you to Jamie Day our Solicitor who with total professionalism and kindness worked so hard for us as family. Always keeping in touch and available to answer our queries to help guide us through our case. We will always be grateful to the amazing dedication Jamie provided to reach the conclusion where as a family we can now start to move on .. . .

   Took a while to sort my problem out but it all came together and worked out well in the last few weeks thanks to a young lady called Catherine Clayson who took control of my claim and dealt with it super efficiently. Always easy to contact and prompt with her replies.
   Never got to thank her personally as my claim was settled without the need to go to court so thank you Catherine for your skills , efficiency and enthusiasm.
   Job well done.

   In September 2017 I was diagnosed with peritoneal mesothelioma. As this is an asbestos related disease and an industrial injury, I was advised that I should make a claim for damages against my employer. Fortunately, although long retired I had only had one employer during my working life.

   My oncologist provided me with a list of suitable solicitors and I chose Slater Gordon Lawyers from that list. Time would show that I had made an excellent choice.

   After my initial contact with them my claim was passed to Edmund Young, Head of Industrial Diseases (London). From my first contact with him through to the successful conclusion of my claim he and his team’s performance were excellent.

   I was constantly kept up to date with the progress of my claim and the resultant investigations necessary to obtain evidence for that claim. Due their diligence my ex employer finally accepted responsibility. I received compensation far in excess of anything I had anticipated but of a level that they fought for me.

   I cannot speak more highly of Edmund Young and his team nor of the barristers that were appointed by and supported him.

   I highly recommend Slater Gordon Lawyers.

   Utterly appalling service with regards to House Conveyancing.

   I have used Slater and Gordon for many years, transitioning to them when they took over Russell, Jones and Walker.

   They have carried out work for me with regards to work issues, personal injury and dealt with my divorce. All of which were dealt with well.

   However…… Dear god, I suggest nobody uses them for Conveyancing. You can’t get hold of anyone, they are unresponsive to emails, we have had correspondence relating to other people’s matters senttsent to us, there appears to be a massive disconnect between lawyers and back office staff.

   Really, I could not recommend them less, and it is honestly disappointing to have to right such a negative review for a company I had built up a significant level of trust in over the past decade or so.

   Avoid.

   Save yourself stress and time and use a local firm, it may cost more, but given this experience I will never use them again.

   However, I have done this. I got a reply saying they would look into it and I would have an update in 48 hours.

   Heard nothing else.

   For everyone reading the reviews, this is the level of service to expect.
